Hunter Safety September 19 6:00 PM September 29th 8:00 AM

Fall Class Dates: 
A hunter safety class will be held at the PIFG September 19 6:00 PM and September 29th 8:00 AM. You may chose to do this as an online study and one day in person class by completing the program and bring your certificate to the class on Saturday. Otherwise you must attend the Wednesday evening to get your workbook. You are welcome to attend both sessions even if you chose to complete the online training rather than the workbook. https://www.hunter-ed.com/maine/

ROAD DETOUR DETAILS: 
Part of the Parson's road south of the club will be closed. Coming from Presque isle if you take the State road about 5 miles taking a right onto the Hale road, after a mile you will come to the Parson's road where you will turn right and travel about 4 miles to the Presque Isle Fish and Game Club. To get to the club coming from the Washburn you may simply take the Parson's road as the road is only closed south of the club. Google Map: goo.gl/BTD4pT

Do you want to learn more about selecting, owning, operating and properly storing a firearm? Do you want to get your concealed carry permit? Consider taking our NRA Basic Pistol course lead by certified club member instructors. 


NRA Basic Pistol
This course is at least 8-hours long and includes classroom and range time learning to shoot revolvers and semi-automatic pistols. Students learn NRA’s rules for safe gun handling; pistol parts and operation; ammunition; shooting fundamentals; range rules; shooting from the bench rest position, and two handed standing positions; cleaning the pistol; and continued opportunities for skill development. Students will receive the NRA Guide to the Basics of Pistol Shooting handbook, NRA Gun Safety Rules brochure, Winchester/NRA Marksmanship Qualification booklet, take a Basics of Pistol Shooting Student Examination, course completion certificate and wallet card.

This is the required course to be eligible to obtain a State of Maine Concealed Carry Permit.
